John B. Angelillo, III, 73, of Berlin and former longtime Southington resident, passed away painlessly and peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
John was born on June 22, 1952, in Southington to the late John Angelillo Jr. and Anna (Palmieri) Angelillo. He graduated from EC Goodwin Technical High School where he completed the Culinary Arts Program. He also attended Boston College. John took over his parents’ industrial catering company, A & J Vending, and focused on growing the vending business for many years. He then worked at SNET as a Directory Assistance operator, retiring in 1995.
John especially loved computers, his cats, his cologne, cooking, and his cousins and friends with equal impassioned and fierce devotion. This world may have lost a fighter, but the universe has gained a champion.
John is survived by his devoted partner of 37 years, Alan Nadolny of Berlin, his beloved sister-cousin, Alexandria Johnson of Wallingford and his other sister-cousin, Rose Garrison of Asheville, North Carolina and step-nephew, Dennis Sherburne of Bristol. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Rosanne A. Sherburne and step-nephew, Richard Sherburne.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave, Meriden, CT 06450 (https://www.meridenhumanesocietyrescue.com/).
