John Edward Antczak, 89, died on 9/30/2024 at Kaiser Hospital, Walnut Creek, CA. John was born in New Mexico in 1934 to John and Evelyn Antczak. He was a former resident of San Francisco, where he graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1953 & Cogswell Polytechnical College in 1957. John served with USNR during the Korean War. He retired after 37 years of engineering work; 22 years with BART in the Train Control Department & 15 years with Shell Development. John enjoyed traveling & camping in his RV.
He also enjoyed volunteering with many organizations, Meals on Wheels, Loaves & Fishes, St. Vincent de Paul, to name a few. John was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, formerly known as Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.
John was also a member of SIR'S CH.116, Honorary Member of Pearl Harbor Survivors CH.13 Walnut Creek, and Sons & Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors CH.5.
He is survived by his cousin, Donna Jean Walgren, Sun Lakes, AZ, and loving friend Kathleen Farley.
John is predeceased by daughter Jeannine in 1989 and wife Nola Jean in 1999.
