Connors Funeral Home - PortsmouthIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Scott Anthony, a cherished son, brother, father, and loyal friend, who left us far too soon on October 18, 2025.
Born on June 7, 1965, John brought warmth, laughter, and kindness into the lives of everyone who knew him. His love for life was evident in the simple joys he embraced-whether it was throwing darts with precision and passion, cooking up delicious meals for friends and family, or spending summer days boating on the water, soaking in the sun and sharing stories with those he loved.
John had a gift for bringing people together. His kitchen was often the heart of the home, filled with the aroma of his favorite dishes and the sound of laughter. He found joy in feeding others, and his meals were always served with a side of love and generosity.
A true friend to many, John was known for his easygoing nature, quick wit, and unwavering loyalty. He was happiest surrounded by those he cared about, whether on the water, at a backyard gathering, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with family.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. John is survived by his children, Cameron Anthony, Megan Anthony and Caitlin Anthony, parents John and Joan and Anthony, and sisters, Cheryl Collins (Robert), Debra Hulings and Louise Daly (Michael), and his nieces and nephews Kayla, Heather, Brendan, Liam, Mason, Ava & Aidan, who will carry his spirit forward and honor his memory every day.
A celebration of John's life will be held on November 15, 2025 from 1:00-3:00pm at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI where friends and family are invited to share stories, raise a glass, and remember the incredible person he was.
Though he is no longer with us, John's light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
