John Fitzgerald Arsenault, 61, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, after a courageous three-year battle with lung cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family as he entered into eternal rest. Born on November 25, 1963, in Chelsea, MA, John was the beloved son of the late Leo Joseph Arsenault of Abram-Village, Prince Edward Island, Canada, and the late Rita Parenteau Arsenault of Drummondville, Québec, Canada. Raised in Framingham, MA, John was the youngest of five boys. He is survived by his brothers, Paul Arsenault and his wife, Sue of Upton, MA; Dennis Arsenault and his wife, Sue of Ashland, MA, and their daughters, Kaitlyn and Emma; and Phil Arsenault and his wife, Thuy of Worcester, MA. John now joins his late brother, Ron Arsenault, who passed before him. A proud graduate of Joseph P. Keefe Technical High School, Class of 1982, John studied carpentry and went on to become a master carpenter and cabinet maker. His skill, creativity, and dedication to his craft shone through in every project he touched. With his wife, Judelyn, John co-owned and operated Home Sweet Homes Solutions, LLC, where together they built and renovated homes, including the family's own cherished home in Methuen. His love of building was not just his career-it was a true passion that he carried with him throughout his life. Family was at the heart of everything John did. He is survived by his two loving children from his first marriage to Patricia Tota of Natick, MA: Christina Arsenault and Derick Arsenault of Natick, MA. He was the proud grandfather of Alyssa Arsenault, daughter of Derick. For the past 11 years, John shared a life full of love and laughter with his devoted wife, Judelyn Arsenault of Methuen, MA. John cherished time with his family, especially during holidays and gatherings, where his warmth and sense of humor made every moment brighter. He was an avid music lover who enjoyed attending concerts, creating memories with both family and friends. John's life was one of hard work, love, and devotion-to his family and his craft. He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the love he shared with all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 N. Lowell Street in Methuen.
