John Austwick Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jun. 10, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Austwick, an amazing husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and a cherished friend to many. John's presence brought an uplifting energy into every room he entered, and he spread joy to all those fortunate enough to know him.
John's generosity with his time and readiness to help others were unparalleled. He was always eager to assist in any way he could, whether it was for his loved ones or even those he did not know nor had asked for his help. His selflessness knew no bounds. John was constantly thinking of others. Driven by a huge heart, he would give the shirt off his back or his last dollar to someone in need.
With a love for storytelling, John had a unique talent for entertaining those around him with jokes, stories, and amusing anecdotes. His larger-than-life personality and infectious laugh made him a friend to all, leaving a positive and lasting impression on everyone he met. John relished a rich social life, enjoying the company of friends and family whenever he was not perfecting his swing on the golf course. His love for life and his vibrant spirit touched everyone around him, creating memories that will endure.
John faced life's challenges with remarkable diplomacy and resilience. John was also an expert in all trades. No project or goal was ever too large. He took pride and found joy in completing whatever he had set his mind set on. His determination and hard work were constant throughout his life.
Among his many accomplishments, John was most proud of being a father to his two children. He dedicated his life to lending a helping hand and guiding them with endless wisdom and knowledge to prepare them for the world. His love and support for his family were unwavering and he worked tirelessly to be a great father and husband.
John's inspirational outlook on life was a guiding light to those around him. He often reminded his children of the valuable lesson his grandfather imparted to him: "You always have the choice to do the right thing and a choice of who you want to be in this world." He encouraged everyone to make each day great, emphasizing that we always have a choice. John Austwick's legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering support for others will live on in the hearts of those he touched. He was taken from us way too early, however his jovial spirit and the inspiration he provided for all who knew him will forever be treasured.
St Francis said: Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received, only what you have given, a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice, and courage. We hope heaven is ready for Joe and he will be forever missed.
John is survived by his wife, Laura L. nee Klein; his daughters Samantha and Kelsy; his brother Tony (Claudia); his sister Michelle (Devin) Munnings; and nieces and nephews Anthony, Gino (Kirstin), Taylor, Dilan, Marc Hunter, Landon, Colten, Eric (Kirsten) and Shannon. John passed away on the same day as his brother Marc (Laura). He was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Austwick and his aunts Marilyn Michela and Janet Anievas.
