My First memory: The year John helped me clean up after bad storm damage and put a new roof on for me...he's the best! kind, friendly and very professional...surely do miss John, was looking for his info to have him do some work for me......It's so sad to learn that he has passed on.

I posted this after his passing and I hope it's ok to share here:
"I went & sat by your pond, just now, with your fish that you just adored & cried my eyes out. You were a tough & firm man & a lot of people had the wrong impression of you but Brian & I knew the real you. You believed in us & if it wasn't for you, we truly wouldn't have all that we have. You taught Brian a skill & you pushed him to be the best he could be, you werent only his boss, you were his mentor & best friend. You were like a father to us both, but even more so to him. I don't think anyone will truly ever know the impact you had on us both, Pierson too. He loved "Johnny howse" & just walking in like he owned it, sitting in your chair, & getting a piece of candy I knew you hadn't been ok for a while, but I didn't realize this would happen so soon.
We love you John! Don't give them too much crap up there old man You can rest now, be with your mom & be free of all your pain, but we sure will miss you Today wasn't ideal, but I can have peace knowing you're not suffering. *hugs & love*"
