John Robert Balch, age 74, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024. John honorably served his country in the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joan Balch, and his sister, Kathleen Gilbert. Surviving are his sister, Mary VanKammen; his brother, Rick and Diane Balch; and many nieces and nephews. Honoring John's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family committal service, with military honors, will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

John was always polite, sweet and a little shy. I enjoyed meeting up with John is the hallways of Kentwood High , as he was always friendly and had a smile on his face. Sorry to hear of his passing....
