John P. Barrett

John P. Barrett, age 48, suddenly, longtime employee of Winnetka Park District; beloved brother of Colleen (Paul) Quinn, Maura (Kerry) Schoo and Jim (Mary) Barrett; proud uncle of Patrick, Kevin and Conor Quinn, Maeve and Claire Schoo, and Brendan and Jack Barrett; cherished son of the late Mary Ann, nee Sherlock and the late John T. "Jack" Barrett; dear nephew and cousin; and beloved friend of many who were John's cherished extended family. John was a homebody at heart, but his favorite days included travels with friends, meeting them out for a beer, or best of all, joining everyone in his happy place at Harwood Lake in Three Rivers, MI. Visitation Saturday, August 27, 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Interment Private.
