It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic passing of John Houston Barron, 69 on October 9th, 2024. John was a beloved Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend, who touched the lives of everyone he met with kindness, warmth, and generosity. He left us too soon, and the unexpected loss has left a deep void in the hearts of his family.

Born on July 15th, 1955 to Thomas and Carolyn Barron. John was a proud graduate of Catholic High School in Little Rock. He had a love for Western movies, John Wayne and Rock music.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Grandfather Houston Whitfield, Brother-in-law Dallas Stricklin and Wife Cathy Barron.

John is survived by his Daughter Jessica (Barron) Pauley of Maumelle. One Brother Michael Barron and Wife, Cindy of North Little Rock; two Sisters Elizabeth Stricklin of North Little Rock and Melody Barron McBride, of Memphis; one grandchild Gavin Pauley and one great grandchild Dakota Pauley; Beloved Nieces and Nephews Andrea Heintzen, Morgan Barron, Alicia Warriner, Joshua, Joseph and Jonathan Stricklin, and Carly McBride.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Catholic High Foundation.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May his soul rest in peace.
