John Bartfay Obituary
85, passed away on June 16, 2013. Lifelong resident of Fontana since 1927. He was born and raised in a modest home located on Sierra Ave in Fontana. John was a member of the Steeler Gridiron Club of Fontana for many many years. Served in the US Army from 1946-1947 and separated from the service at the rank of Corporal. He retired as Supervisor of Vehicle Maintenance from the Fontana Unified School District after 27 years of faith service
John is survived wife of 61 years, Betty Bartfay and their three children Karen, Andy and Darlynn, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 2:00pm both at Green Acres Memorial Park & Mortuary, 11715 Cedar Ave., Bloomington, CA 92316.

My family and I are all greatly saddened to hear of John's passing. I have many fond memories of our travels together in California and Michigan. As a child i spent a lot of time cutting thru this mans garden, and climbing the brick wall around his property with his daughter, and he didnt yell at us. I will remember forever, those were the best times. Mrs Bartfay, Darlynn, Andy, and Karen my thoughts are with you.
