John T. "Bart" Bartholomeo, 72, of Media, PA passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024.
Bart was the son of the late John W. and Anna J. (Kulkusky) Bartholomeo and was born in Norristown, PA. He graduated from Devon Preparatory School as well as Drexel University majoring in Engineering.
He was employed for most of his career as an Engineer with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, retiring in 2008. Bart performed the duties of Program Manager in the Project Management Division, providing support and oversight in Corps projects involving hazardous waste clean up in the tri-state area. Around 2011, he started a second career at Sevenson Environmental Services, (SES) Inc., located in Niagara Falls, NY. Bart provided Project Management oversight of similar projects within the local PA and NJ area.
Bart was a member St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Clifton Heights and for the last several years performed the duties of Rector's Warden. He enjoyed cooking and would often be found in the kitchen at St. Stephens providing wonderful meals as dinner fundraisers. He had many friends and enjoyed at pool parties as well as other events, always up to demonstrate his skills at smoked meat items for barbecues. Bart enjoyed travel especially during winter months to places in the Caribbean, often teasing those who were left back home in the cold. He always was a sucker for any kid selling items out of the driveway, stopping or even going around the block to purchase whatever they were selling.
He was the beloved husband of Annmarie (Knorr) Bartholomeo and also "Dad" to his four legged daughter, Bagle. Bart is also survived by his siblings, Anne J.
