John Batts Obituary

John Enix Batts, 52, husband of Cindy Batts, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022. He was born in Richmond, Kentucky on February 25, 1970. Mr. Batts was a graduate of Transylvania University and a Business Analyst for the Department of Revenue. He was also an elder at Midway Christian Church, a board member of the Midway Museum, a member of the Kentucky Regional Men's Chorus and a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his wife of 28 years, he will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Jim and Gloria Batts, Versailles; his children, Isaac Batts, Lexington and James Batts, Midway; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Kathy Mimlitch, OH.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Midway Christian Church with Rev. Heather McColl officiating. Burial will follow in Midway Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Brad Ragland, Bo Batts, Rick Devers, Chris Devers, Rebecca Devers Mazumdar and Dhrubo Mazumdar. Honorary casketbearers will be the Elders of Midway Christian Church, Brian Kelly, Sam Greenwell, Craig Demoran, Jimmy Conner, Pat Combs and Paulette Akers. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM on Saturday until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Midway Christian Church or the Woodford Theater.

I have known John since we were kids at Meadowview Daycare back in the early 1970's.
John was always a very kind and friendly person.
