John Baxter, 83 of Tuckerton, NJ passed away on Sunday January 4th, 2026. John was born, raised and lived in Canton, OH before moving to Tuckerton, NJ in 1986. John proudly served our nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later worked as a Construction Subcontractor. He was a member of the Redmen Lodge in Tuckerton for many years. He was an avid Ohio State football fan who enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors and spending time with his family and dog Tucker. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
John was predeceased by his grandmother, Anna Mobilian, who raised him. He was also predeceased by his grandson Justin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki, of 58 years; son John A. Baxter; son Jason Baxter, daughter-in-law Jessica Baxter and grandson Jacob Baxter; daughter Brooke Baxter.
In addition to immediate family, John was a cherished grandparent figure to Oliver, Connor, Zack, Bryce and Reece who were not related by blood, but, were loved as family.
He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and wonderful sense of humor.
Cremation will be private.
