Today we honor a beautiful life, a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. An extraordinary woman. There are those who move our souls to dance and awaken a laughter and joy we've never felt. A constant shining light. Her compassion for others was never ending. Her favorite place was in nature, walking trails, chasing sunsets and moon rises. She taught us we can make the world a more beautiful place. She was the tiny ripple that had a profound impact on all who knew her. To say she accomplished her work on earth is an understatement. One hug and you felt safe and secure with her unconditional love. What an amazing blessing she was especially to her children and grandchildren. She was truly loved by everyone she met. Her life was spent helping others which is what she loved. She deeply affected us leaving happiness, wisdom, making life richer and changing us forever. She was a mentor. She was a matriarch!

I met Nancy when I was 10 years old in 1976. Our families got along so well together we spent for many years a week at a time with each others families. She always treated me like one of her own children. Nancy and my mom would get into mischief together, which was hysterical to see the news of Nancy´s passing has broke my heart. And if it wasn´t for this winter storm that is coming, I would drive from North Carolina to Ohio gladly to see the Baxter family one more time. Hugs to all!
