Louis C. Rom

Louis C. Rom, passed away January 28, 2026 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 67 years of Ruth (nee Leglar). Loving father of Harry Rom, Katie (Paul) Chisholm, Judy (Jim) Olthaus, and Louis (Candy) Rom. Devoted grandfather of Krystyna (Will) Kirschner, Stephanie Chisholm, Andrew (Megan) Chisholm, Matthew Olthaus (fiancée Anna), Isabella Olthaus, Sophia Rom, and Emma Rom. Great-grandfather of Heidi, Otto, and Ellie. Dear brother of Maggie Comparetto, the late Jerry Rom, Kay Dufresne, and Dee Rom. Son of the late Elmer and Dolores (nee Hubb) Rom. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Louis was a proud United States Army veteran, retiring after 20 years as a Master Sargent.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 10 AM until time of his funeral mass at 11 AM at St. William Church, 4108 W 8th St, Cincinnati, OH 45205. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Joseph New Cemetery, Foley Road.
