Richard D. "Dick" Fehring

In loving memory of Richard Daniel "Dick" Fehring, who was born on February 14, 1937, in Cincinnati, OH, and passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at the age of 89. Richard was the beloved son of the late Joseph and late Ethel Fehring. He will be fondly remembered for his bright spirit, infectious humor, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him.

Richard is now reunited in heaven with his devoted wife, Lois Ann Fehring. Together, they created a nurturing home that fostered love and laughter for their children: Debi (Fred) Green, Janet (Rick) Foster, Richard A. Fehring, and Nancy (Greg) Andersen. He was a loving grandfather to Tommy (Jessica) Burke, Nick (Kate) Burke, Ethan Green, Christy (Brian) Sunderman, Julie (Scott) Becker, Darien Fehring, and Jack Fehring, and a cherished great-grandfather to Brody, Kali, Brooks, Lola, Ann London, Molly, Lucy, Simon, Andrew, Evelyn, Michael, Katelyn, and Allison. A dear brother to Ethel "Fifi" Kramer, Richard was preceded in death by his siblings Marguete Fehring, Billy Fehring, Joseph G. Fehring, Mary Lou Bare, Thomas Fehring, JoAnn Hessler, and David Fehring. Richard will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family, and his memory will live on through stories filled with love and laughter.

Richard enjoyed life to the fullest; he found joy in the great outdoors through camping and boating, and he cherished time spent on his sailboat. His love for family activities extended to trips to Myrtle Beach and the sunny shores of Florida, where he delighted in the beauty of the sunrises and sunsets. Richard also had a competitive spirit, often enjoying afternoons at the shooting range or playing chess, checkers, and cards with friends and family. His love for classical music provided a soothing environment to his cherished memories, while a dose of childhood nostalgia came from his fondness for watching cartoons.

In honor of Richard's remarkable life, visitation services will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 2553 Banning Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45239, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are warmly invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate a life beautifully lived. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Richard will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire generations to come.
