It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Jacob “Jake” Beck, who departed from this world on March 10, 2024. Born in Victoria, TX on April 20, 2003, Jake was a cherished son, beloved brother, and loyal friend.
Jake found joy in playing chess, basketball, and video games, all hobbies that brought him much delight. He was an active member of the youth group in High School at New Hope Baptist Church and remained a member of that church throughout the rest of his life. Jake graduated from Alba Golden High School.
Jake is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Earl and Mary Kernes; and paternal grandfathers, Roy Beck and Mack White.
Among those grieving his loss are his parents, John and Lynita Beck; four siblings, Joey Beck, Denver Beck, Seth Beck and wife Derian, and Faith Beck; one niece, Blakely Beck; grandmother, Edee White; girlfriend Madison Steuck, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
In his memory, visitation will take place at New Hope Baptist Church on March 16, 2024, at 1:00 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm with Brother Michael Mize officiating.
