He was born in Manchester on July 18, 1941, the son of Wildred and Esther (Kellerman) Bergeron. He was educated in the local school system and graduated from Bishop Bradley High School.
Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a warehouse supervisor for many years with Alltex Uniforms in Manchester.
John enjoyed traveling to Florida and spending time at the beach. Most of all, John loved spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife Patricia A. (Szumierz) Bergeron in 2008 and by one brother Arthur Bergeron.
Family members include his son Stephen Bergeron and his wife Kathy of Portsmouth; one daughter, Susan Bergeron of Bedford; two grandchildren Andrew and Anna Bergeron of Portsmouth; two brothers David Bergeron and wife Jan of Merrimack, Ted Bergeron and wife Janith of Barrington; nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in St. Pius X Church. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Breathe New Hampshire, 145 Hollis St., Unit C, Manchester, NH 03101.
