John W. Bergman Jr.

John W. Bergman, Jr., 69, of Churubusco, Ind. passed away Sunday morning, January 7, 2024 at his residence.
John was born October 21, 1954 in Adams County, Ind. to John W. Bergman, Sr. and the late Geraldine (Nevil) Bergman. He was united in marriage to Deborah Y. Lister on September 8, 1973 in Monroe, Ind., and she survives.
John was member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and was a 1973 graduate of Adams Central High School. He recently retired from Victory Trucking in Garrett, Indiana. John loved going on road trips with his wife on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. His grandkids and great-grandkids were his life, leaving him little time for other hobbies.
John is lovingly survived by his wife Deborah Bergman of Churubusco, IN; father, John W. Bergman, Sr. of Monroe, IN; son, Jonathan P. Bergman of Willshire, OH; daughter, Carolyn (Joe) Myers of Decatur, IN; daughter, Catlyn (Jared) Neal of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter, Ariel (Corey) Mishler of Churubusco, IN; sister, Barbara (Michael) Beery of Willshire, OH; sister, Karen (Mark) Brake of Wren, OH; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; Deb's family: Gwen (Mike) Grim of Bluffton, IN, Cyndy (Steve) Brown of Decatur, IN, Karen (Don) Tricker of Decatur, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Steven Bergman; his brother, Michael Bergman, in infancy; and his brother-in-law, Kevin Lister.
In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no services or visitation.
