John Bernick Obituary
glory August 15, 2023. Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and compassionate,
dedicated physician. He is survived by his wife Janice, daughters Laura (Steven) Michael,
Elizabeth (Michael) DeMint, and sons John Todd (Dawn) and Christopher (Jennifer),
stepdaughters Kelly Germano, Kathleen (James) Kyzar, Chelsea (Ryan) Pasquali, sister Lorene
(Mark) Gutman, many grandchildren and cousins. John was preceded in death by his stepson,
Christopher Arble. Highly educated, Dr. John graduated from The University of Michigan
earning his PhD in Environmental Science and Wayne State University Medical School. He had
a successful medical practice in Dearborn. John enjoyed spending time with family and friends,
cooking, attending concerts by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, visiting the Detroit Institute of
Arts and ballroom dancing. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 18, 2023. Visitation
at 10:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Trenton. Memorial service immediately following at
11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to St. Paul Lutheran Church
Trenton or the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
