John Andreas Bertolis 6/25/1947 – 4/10/2023
We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father, John Andreas Bertolis on Monday, April 10, 2023. John immigrated to the United States in 1972 after being swept away by our vivacious mother, a world-traveling performing artist, Reba Ann Hester. John and Reba's first stop in America was Chicago, Illinois where they were reunited with the Hester family and soon married. The newlyweds relocated to South Florida and John began his career as an electrician. John successfully passed the Master Electrician Exam with limited English and started his own electrical company, Bertolis Electric. Bertolis Electric played a significant role during the growth of northern Palm Beach County in the 1980's. if you currently live in the area, particularly Jupiter, Bertolis Electric was undoubtedly responsible for installing the electrical system in your home.
John was a proud father of Andreas and Jamie Bertolis, and his children were raised with their brother, Servio Medina, in a home filled with many Greek traditions, including Greek Easter celebrations with family and friends. John always wore a bright smile and much like his father, he enjoyed good food, music and he was an incredible dancer.
John was born in Spata, Greece to his adoring parents, Andreas and Dimitria Bertolis. He was the baby of the family as well as the only son with two older sisters, Maria and Athena Bertolis. Although many miles apart, John shared a very close relationship with his sisters throughout his life.
Family and a strong work ethic were very important to John as was his guiding principle in life. "Never be late and always have 'walking money' in your pocket" was his slogan.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Reba; his parents, Andreas and Dimitria; sister, Maria; brother-in-law, Vasilios "Uncle Bill"; dear friend Jimmy Frangiskakis. He is survived by his children, Andreas (Tina) and Jamie (Jared), their brother Servio Medina; precious granddaughter Grace and her brother Ashton; and many loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Trustbridge Hospice of Palm Beach County. His family will host a small future gathering in Jupiter and he will be laid to rest in Greece.

John and I spent 21years loving and happy together. My family was very much a part of his life. My grandchildren considered him a grandfather and every Christmas each of them would exchange gifts with him as well as my son and daughter-in-laws. He was always looking forward to their visits and the fun times we had with them. They are so saddened by his passing and my heart is broken. Love you forever my sweet and kind love!

John and I spent 21years of loving and just being with each other. My family is saddened and devastated by his passing. My family was his family as well. My grandchildren considered him a grandfather and each Christmas gave him presents. My two sons and daughter-in-laws loved him as well and for loving their mother. It was also a very happy time for him when my brother would visit. They would time discussing sports and then taking us out to dinner.
