John Bettys Obituary
John retired from Grand Valley State University after 38 years of serving as a Hardware Specialist in the Key Department and was a proud member of the Chosen Family Motorcycle Club. He loved riding and working on his Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He enjoyed working outdoors from sunup to sundown in any type of weather; and took great pride in his flower and vegetable gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mildred Bettys; a brother, Harold Bettys; and three sisters, Donna Miller, Dorothy Kleyn, and Mary Judith Bettys.
Surviving are his fiancée Diane DeRyke; his son, Jacob (Kayla) Bettys; his daughter, Amy Bettys; six grandchildren, Alayna, Jose, and Adrian Torres, Raylynn Bettys, Grady and Gentry Bettys; a brother, Jim Bettys; a sister Gerri MacKay; and a brother-in-law Jim Miller.
Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 21 at the Christian Fellowship Assembly (9930 64th Ave, Allendale, MI 49401) where memorial services be held at 2:00 p.m.
