John D. Bianchi, resident of Marshfield passed unexpectedly on January 15, 2022 peacefully in his sleep at his home in Ocean Bluff.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Bianchi, Children Nicole Bianchi, Lisa Prive her husband Ben Prive, TIna Brandt her husband David Brandt, John Bianchi Jr. his wife Chandler Bianchi and Gabrielle Bianchi as well as his grandchildren Killian, Sadie, Kayden, Charlie, and Natalie. His sisters Angela DeGisi and her husband Costantino DeGisi and Florence Bianchi. As well as many nieces and nephews and family members both near and far.

John grew up in Newton Massachusetts (the Lake) and graduated from Newton North High School. Life brought him to Colorado where he received his degree in Gunsmithing. He then made his name in Ocean Bluff where he retired after 27 years working for the Marshfield Department of Public Works.

John loved the beach, Chinese food, the sound of a Harley and his family. He loved classic rock, a good swim and to relax with a good sitcom. His later years were spent enjoying dinner with his wife and seeing his grandchildren play.

To support John's grandchildren, the Bianchi family encourages donations to a fund at the Village Bank (details tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 18) rather than sending flowers.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday Jan. 21 from 4-8pm at Magni Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St, Newton, MA and again Saturday morning at 9:15AM before proceeding to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St, Newton for a 10:30AM Funeral Mass. Burial private

Per order of the City of Newton, masks will be required in the funeral home and at church, regardless of vaccination status.

My deepest sympathies to the Bianchi family. I just read and was shocked to see John had passed at such a young age. I had the pleasure of working with John with the DPW when we were in our 20's. John was a great and kind man to be around, he'd help and do anything for anyone. I remember John talking so often about his family when most of you were so young. He was so proud of each and everyone of you. I am a better person for knowing your dad. Even though we lost touch in later years, John left an impression on me I will never forget. Again my sincerest condolences to all his family, God Bless you all and God Bless John!!!!
