John Edward Bolgiano, Jr., 25, a native and resident of Galliano passed away on Thursday, March 17th, 2022.
Family, friends, and law enforcement are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow from 9:00 am until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 12 noon with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery.
Mr. John is survived by his parents: John Sr. and Wanda Griffin Bolgiano; sister: Jassie Cheramie (Lucas Thibodaux); uncle and godfather: Rodney Griffin (Lucy); aunt and godmother: Rhonda Griffin Slade; uncles: Jimmie Bolgiano, Kenneth Bolgiano (Tammie), and Joe Bolgiano; and aunts: Cynthia Griffin Ketterer (Mike), Cheryl Bolgiano Kibbe (Harold), and Christine Bolgiano Wiist.
Mr. Bolgiano was preceded in death by his grandparents: Adam Sr. and Gloria Griffin, and Kenneth Sr. and Ruby Bolgiano; and uncles: Adam Griffin, Jr. and Curtis Slade.
John was a dedicated and proud public servant and law enforcement officer that viewed his compatriots in blue as brothers and sisters. His love for his community showed in every aspect of his job, especially his checks in on the elderly for their wellbeing. He was devoted to his family and treated his numerous friends as if they were family. He was a talented artist and a former Q-Med with Edison Chouest Offshore. His family is proud of the man he became and are heartbroken over this loss and ask for your prayers for serenity.
