John Thomas Bond Jr. - Age 76, of Linden, died September 28, 2025 as a result of the tragedy that occurred at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc. A memorial service will be held 11AM Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Bishop Jeffrey Schaub will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service. A private interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those wishing to make a contribution in his memory, please consider the Linden VFW Post #4642, where John was a member and had served as Commander. John was born November 8, 1948 in Valparaiso, IN, the son of the late John Thomas and Evelyn (Lundahl) Bond. He was a well known and loved member of his community. John was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. A lover of golf and trains. He always loved spending time with his family and grandkids. John is survived by his loving wife of over 35 years, JoAnne; children, Valerie McKee, Theresa Giles, Jenna Bond, Jacob Bond, Al (Tracey) Garcia and Diana (Alan) Lang; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Janet Bitner and Anne Topping; brother, George Bond.
