John Marshall Boone Jr. 63, passed away on February 21, 2024 in his sleep with his beloved Reyna Jacobo at his side. John was born to John and Dessie Boone on October 10, 1960 in Des Moines. He attended East High School and will be remembered by many for his humor, smile and laugh. John loved riding his bike, listening to Rap music, New England Patriots, the Iowa State Fair working at Diamond Jack’s restaurant for many years, but recently he found joy with Sodexo Campus Services at Drake University. John is preceded in death by his father John M. Boone Sr. and leaves behind his daughter, Maria Boone; granddaughter, Alicia Murrell; mother, Dessie Boone; sisters, Betty Sullivan and Mildred Boone; brother, David (Pam) Boone; nephews, Dennis (Chelyne) Sullivan, Jaemal Sullivan, Quincy (Jessi) Boone, Myles (Cristian) Boone and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Visitation Friday, March 8, 2024, 11:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M., Funeral Service to follow at Henderson's Funeral Home.
