John Alton Boothe Sr.

A ceremony celebrating the life of John Alton Boothe Sr., will be held on Friday January 13, 2023, at First United Pentecostal Church Denham Springs, with visitation beginning at 4 pm until time of the funeral service at 7 pm. Graveside service will be held on Saturday at Ellis Boothe Cemetery, Harrisonburg.
Mr. Boothe was born on January 8, 1939, and passed away from this life on January 8, 2023, at his home in Baton Rouge at the age of 84 years.
He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church Denham Springs, retired from Brown & Root in Belle Chase, also was a Notary Public in his spare time. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and riding his ATV, especially riding along with his boys and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents John D. and Ethel A. Boothe, brothers Raymond, Clifford, and Dale Boothe.
Survivors include his loving wife Mary Anne Matherne Boothe, his four sons John Jr., (Ellen), Barry (Sherry), Bryan and Mike Boothe, grandchildren Heather, Bryan Jr., Ashley, Heidi, Christopher, Brett, Amber, and Amanda, also survived by 16 great grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Saturday gather at 12 noon at Harrisonburg Pentecostal Church, parking lot, Louisiana Highway 8, for procession to cemetery.
