I came across a reel of 8mm film and on it is a brief clip of John -- about 16 years old.

The photo below is from our graduation from St. Augustine's Grammar School in 1956. John, Ray Chase and myself. The three of us lived in the projects and hung around with each other for years.

I worked with John for a few years and thought he was a really great guy.
I am so sorry to hear the sad news. God bless the family.

I grew up with John in the projects in Southie, right across the street from each other. We maintained our friendship when I moved to Dorchester and he moved to Doris St. As kids, we were good friends. I often thought of John over the years and am sad to hear of his death. He was a good guy.

A lovely man with such a beautiful demeanor was my cousin Jackie. He was very into photography (at least back in the 60's) and offered to do our wedding photos--of course, a fabulous job. We send our love and prayers to his lovely wife, Alicia and son Steven, as well as his brothers, Ed and Jerry. He'll always be in our thoughts and now he rests with our God. Judy & Vin Signorello

I am very sorry for your loss. I was a grade school pal of John's at St Augustine's in South Boston, and later at Boston College High School, growing up in the post war years in the Old Colony Housing Project. I have fond memories enjoying those childhood days with John and I'm sorry we lost touch after our school days. My regards and condolences to his entire family. Peter Toland

I have very fond memories of working together at Uncle Eddie's box company. And also of the St. Patrick's day celebrations at my mother's house in Southie. We spoke and recounted much of our past at my brother Paul's funeral. Alas, today my brother John buried Fay, his wife of 55 years. My condolences to your family and your brothers.
