John Jr Bowling, age 78 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Monday, March 30, 2026. He was born April 25, 1947 in Berea, Kentucky the son of John and Ethel Bowling.
John graduated from Northridge High School in the class of 1965. He worked as a tool and die maker at AFC Tools until his retirement. In his free time, John enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating at Lake Cumberland and hunting pheasants. He was an all around outdoorsman.
He is preceded in death by his Father, John D. Bowling; and his beloved Wife, Jessica Bowling.
John is survived by his Mother, Ethel Bowling; Sister, Judy Brewer; Brother, Don Bowling; Son, John Thomas Bowling; Grandchildren, Amanda Bowling, Erica Bowling and Chad Bowling; Great Grandchildren, Hunter, Frost and Julian Disney, Jaxon Barlow, Spencer, Kenickie and Tommy Bowling.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Memorial Service at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
John will be laid to rest at Bowling Ridge, Kentucky at a later date.
