John Brachowski

With great sadness, we announce the passing of John Brachowski of Cumming, GA, formerly of Marietta, GA, on February 1, 2026. He left this earthly life peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife, Mary. Together, they created a beautiful life full of memories for 55 years.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to John R. and Wanda Brachowski, John earned his college degree at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and proudly served his country in the United States Army. John retired after a long career from Baxter Healthcare and enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with his cherished family and pets. John also volunteered his time as a Poll Manager for the Cobb County Board of Elections and as a site manager for the AARP Tax Aide program.

John leaves to cherish his memory his five children: Kathy Travers (Howie) of Bel Air, MD; Mark (Gabriela) of Alpharetta, GA; Matt (Melanie) of Bishop, GA; Tom (Erika) of Park Ridge, IL; and Rob (Kristie) of Arlington, MA; grandchildren Lindsey, Courtney, Emma, Brannan, Mollie, Kyle, Paige, Jack, Sloane; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Ryan.

Funeral services will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA on Monday, February 9, at 11:00 a.m. Interment at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, will take place at a later date.
