John J. Brecht

John J. Brecht, of Upper Southampton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 11, 2023. John was 96 years of age. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Bertha and John Brecht. John is survived by his; beloved wife, Alberta T. Brecht nee Joerger; children, John Brecht, Alberta Depenbrock (Henry), Virginia "Ginny" Alexander (Jim), Barbara Kratz, and Robert Brecht; grandchildren, Romayne (Patrick), Jim, Christine (Kevin), John Henry (Maggie), John Robert (Michelle), Gus, Stephanie (Rob), Chris, Stephen (Kristi), Dana (Dan), Samantha (Zoe), Alex, Jason, Matt, Madeline, and Christian; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Jules Brecht (Liz); and by his sister-in-law, Joan Brecht. John is preceded in death by his brother Charles Brecht
John's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 10 to 11AM, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave. Southampton, PA 18966. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM. John will be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940.
