John Paul Brindley
84, of Plainfield, formerly of Lowell, passed away on September 30, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. John was born on June 6, 1941 in East Chicago, Indiana to the late Paul G. and Marianne (Matovina) Brindley.

John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Upon returning home, John earned his master's degree from Purdue University Calumet. He taught, coached as well as serving as the Athletic Director for Hanover Central High School in Cedar Lake, IN. Additionally, he coached golf at St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer and was a swim official for the IHSAA. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf every chance he could, doing the crossword puzzles in the Sunday newspaper as well as attending the Indy 500 with his daughter every year. He will be remembered as a smart, quiet, kind and generous loving husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Kathleen Brindley, and Susie Brindley.

He is survived by his wife, Chestine (Balitewicz) Brindley; daughter Nadine Brindley (Charlie); son Jeff Brindley (Kristie), and grandchildren Shelby Everett (Freddie Franco), and Brice Everett (Nia Crockett).

In keeping with his wishes, John was cremated, and his family will gather to celebrate his life privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be made in John's memory to the Indiana Golf Foundation, 2625 Hurricane Rd, Franklin, IN 46131, https://indianagolf.org/ or to the donor's favorite charity.
