Doris June Danz, 85, of Martinsville, passed away at home on September 24, 2025. Born in Edinburgh on August 1, 1940, she was the daughter of William Charles and Mae Lena (Jiles) Murray.

Doris was a housekeeper for St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville for 15 years, retiring in 2002. She attended Waverly Methodist Church for several years.

In her free time, Doris enjoyed watching westerns and embroidering. She often made sweet treats, such as chocolate-covered cherries and turtles, and was known for her delicious banana pudding. She was an avid thrifter, making her way to yard sales and Goodwill. Above all, Doris adored her family and loved their company.

Survivors include her son, Robert Danz ll; daughter, Cynthia McCammack (Charles); grandchildren, Rachael Russell (Frisco), Andrew McCammack (Lacey), Brittany Danz, Justin Danz, Tiffany Lynn; great-grandchildren, Teagan, Xavier, Kannyn, Rory, and Ryan; brothers, Mike and Tim Murray; sisters, Cathy Tyree (Michael), Linda Asa, Sandy Burton, and Serry Smith (David); and several extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Danz; son, Jeffrey Danz; brothers, William, Paul, and Gary Murray; and sisters, Gaye Lynn and Patty Whitaker.

Final arrangements and cremation are entrusted to Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.
