A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and esteemed Attorney, John lived a life of integrity, service, and faith, leaving a lasting legacy in his community.
He was born on April 2, 1940, in Childress, Texas. Growing up on their family farm with his parents, Claude and Lois Brooks and one brother, Jerry Brooks, John learned the value of hard work. He earned his undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University and later graduated from the University of Houston Law School, earning his Juris Doctorate.
