John Norris Broussard

Cecilia, Louisiana - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 12, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for John Norris Broussard, age 77. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Friday from 10:30 AM until 2:00 PM.

Pastor Rodney Chitwood will officiate at the funeral service.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. 
 
John Norris Broussard, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, in Lafayette. He was born on December 15, 1946. John's life was defined by his loyal commitment to his work and his family.

Throughout his career, John worked tirelessly, leaving a lasting impact on all those he encountered. His strong work ethic and dedication were evident to all who knew him. Beyond his professional life, John was a man of many passions and interests. From gardening to woodworking, from enjoying a good Bar-be-cue to traveling, he found joy in every moment.

Those who knew John will always remember him for his impeccable appearance - always dressed up with his hair neatly combed and sporting a button-down shirt, even at home. His pride in maintaining a polished image reflected his attention to detail and respect for himself and others.

In addition to his professional accomplishments and hobbies, John served proudly in the United States National Guard Reserves. His service to his country was a source of great pride for him, showcasing his selflessness and dedication to something greater than himself.

John's true devotion, however, lay with his family. He worked tirelessly to provide for them and did everything in his power to ensure their happiness and well-being. His legacy of hard work, love, and selflessness will continue to live on through those he leaves behind.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise Bennett; son, Timothy (Iris) Broussard; brother, Clabert "Lee" ( Mary) Broussard; sisters, Betty (Gambel, Jr) Alleman, Norma Faye (Melvin) Patin and Cheryl (Roy) Ried; grandchildren, Heather Broussard, Tiffany Broussard, Nathaniel Courville, Rebecca (Korry) Derouen, and Blaise Broussard; and his 17 great grandchildren.  
 
He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Broussard; parents, Clabert and Mary Zula Trahan Broussard; and his son-in-law, Tommy Bennett. 

Pallbearers will be Lee Broussard, Blaise Broussard, Timothy Broussard, Terry Huval, Ray Guidry, Nathaniel Courville, and Korry Derouen.
