John Matthew Bryant, 41, of Imperial, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Crane County.
Matthew was born on July 16, 1984, in Lake Village, Arkansas. He had lived in Imperial for the past eight years, moving from Heber Springs, Arkansas. He worked for Amazon in the warehouse distribution center. Matthew enjoyed several hobbies such as drag racing, camping, and shooting black powder rifles. However, in his spare time, he would be known to chase Big Foot now and then.
Matthew was preceded in death by his grandmother, Loudene Boyster; grandparents, Houston and Claudine Bryant; and his aunt, Janice Bryant.
Those surviving Matthew are his mother, Melody Britton and his step-father, Jim Morgan of Imperial; his father, John Bryant Jr., and his step-mother Shannon, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; his grandfather, Jimmy Boyster of Indian Switch, Arkansas; two brothers, Andy Chaney and his wife Corinne of Monticello, Arkansas, and Chris Bryant of Bella Vista, Arkansas; his niece, Macy; and two nephews, Ryder and Clay; as well as numerous aunts, and uncles and the family dog, Molly.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Arkansas.
