John T. Bulman, 102, took off for heaven on June 13, 2025. He was born on March 29, 1923, in Seattle to James A. Bulman and Marjorie (Milnor) Bulman. In 1950, he married Margaret LeBrasseur, and together they raised three children.
John was deeply rooted in his Catholic faith, which guided every aspect of his life. He didn't just talk about his values-he lived them. A longtime professional in the insurance industry, John spent most of his career at Rush Drake Insurance, where he formed countless friendships. He had a gift for connecting with people, and it often felt like everywhere he went, he ran into someone he knew-going out with him was like walking beside a local celebrity.
He had a generous heart and a quiet way of helping others. Whether stepping up, rolling up his sleeves, or quietly giving from his wallet, John supported those in need without expecting recognition. Many people were touched by his kindness without ever knowing the source.
After retiring at age 70, John and Margaret embraced a life of travel, adventure, and treasured time with their grandchildren. They were beloved in their community-kind, generous, and the kind of friends you could always count on. When Margaret suffered a stroke in her 80s, John became her devoted full-time caregiver until her passing in 2011.
John is survived by his three children: JoAnne (Doug), Jim (Mitzi), and Janet (Marc); along with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry his legacy of love and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of John's favorite charities: Catholic Community Services, St. Vincent de Paul, or Mercy Ships International.
At John's request, there will be no formal service. To honor his memory, please consider doing an act of kindness-bonus points if the person never finds out it was you.
