John Bunker Obituary

John Joseph Bunker, age 55, of Wonder Lake, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at his home.
     He was born October 25, 1958 in Chicago to John L. and Rose (Avolio) Bunker.
     For over 25 years, John was a member of the laborers union and employed in the field of sewer and water construction. In his leisure time, he enjoyed doing repairs on electronic and computer equipment.
     Survivors include his mother, Rose, of Wonder Lake; three children, John, Daniel, and Kristen Bunker; a grandson, Angelo; a brother, James (Lori) Bunker; and two sisters, Julie (Scott Berg) Bunker, and Rose (Tom) Stygar; four nephews and three nieces.
     He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela, on May 28, 2009; and his father, John L. Bunker on September 15, 2001.
     Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2014, at Justen’s Wonder Lake Funeral Home, 7611 W. Hancock Drive, Wonder Lake, IL 60097.
     Visitation will resume Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. prayers, before proceeding to the 11 a.m. funeral Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5006 E. Wonder Lake Road, Wonder Lake, IL 60097.
     Inurnment will be private.
     Memorials to his family would be appreciated.
