John Campbell Obituary
Mr. Campbell passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at his home with his wife, family and friends by his side.
Preceding him in death were his father and step-mother, Avery and Jean and mother- and step-father- Ellease and Gerald, a baby brother, two sisters- Kathy Campbell Waits and Sandra Woods.
John was born June 7, 1952, in Marshall County, to Avery Campbell and Ellease Harper Hayes. He was employed by International Paper for 32 years, in the shipping department, as a fork-truck driver, prior to his retirement. He was a loving husband of 51 years, and was a wonderful father. He was a member and elder of Fairview Baptist Church, and served as a Deacon while attending Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was faithful to God, his family and and his church, and was a Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed Hot Air Ballooning.
Survivors include his Wife - Pam Dial Campbell,
Sons - James Ian Ross Campbell (Judith) and
Seth Mackenzie Campbell (Jeri),
God-daughter- Madelyn Kelly,
Siblings - Dianne Smith,
Randy Hayes (Madelyn),
Jerry Hayes (Beth),
Judy Campbell Stripling (David),
Lisa Hayes Brakeman (Stuart), and
Carolyn Hayes Sears (Darrel).
Pallbearers will be David Stripling, Jr. Brandon Smith, Cody Brakeman, Parrish Dial, Brian Dial, and Brett Buttram.
Family expresses a "Special Thanks" to Hospice of the Valley.
In lieu of flowers: Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
