Condolences to Mary, Michael and John's extended family. John reached out across the seas to us over fifteen years ago to his ancestors in Co. Mayo Ireland. Fortunately and because everybody knows everybody in Ireland, he connected with my late uncle Martin, John's second cousin. He returned to Ireland several times since and his infectious good humour and optimism made him great company.
It was with deep shock we learned of his passing and we are forever grateful for the fun times we shared.
Rest in peace John.

Michael, Mary ,spouses grandchildren and family. My friendship with your dad started at Saint Marks grade school .We hooked up one day on the playground and the laughter never stopped. We used to go to football games not to watch football of course, but drink hot chocolate and laugh till our sides hurt .That continued to college and into our 30s. Unfortunately we lost touch with each other until we were in our 60s .Then we started running into each other all over Peoria ...at Saint Thomas ,Helping Hands,Aldi... Typical of your dad`s humor he challenged me to try and find him somewhere in Peoria within the next two weeks. I want you to know he was loved by many .He also was so proud of all of you telling me many stories about his grandkids. He had such a deep faith .Praying the Angels are with him and you.Sincerely Peggy McDonald Peppard Stahl
