John Lee Carter
Born: November 5, 1963 in Streator, IL
Died: December 10, 2025 in Streator, IL
John Lee Carter, 62 of Streator passed away Wednesday (December 10, 2025) at his home.
Visitation will be held Friday (Dec. 19th) from 4 – 6 PM at the Church of the Open Bible. Services will follow at 6PM.
John was born on November 5, 1963, in Streator to Jim and Mary Lou (Marx) Carter. He married Anita Renee Arnold on July 27, 1985. She survives.
Also surviving are daughters Rylie (Brian) Roubal of Sandwich, Caylee (Ryan) Roudebush of Peoria and Lyta Carter of Streator, grandson Pax and Kit Roudebush, his father Jim Carter of Wilmington, sisters, Cindy (Brian) Burcar of Lostant and Laura (Jim) Kincade of Streator, brother Jason (Stacey) Lewis of Bethalto and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, Jack and Norma Marx and Harriet Carter.
John attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1981. he was a member of the Church of the Open Bible and A.A. John was employed at Burns Machine in Ottawa and formerly at Caterpillar in Joliet.
Memorials may be made to the Church of the Open Bible.
The Winterrowd Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
