John Cockrell Obituary
He met Mary L. Milner in high school and they were married shortly after his graduation. They were married for over 55 years before her passing in 2017.
He worked a variety of professions which included the local natural gas company, tour bus operator, bulk mail delivery and bank courier. However, his crowning achievement was a distinguished 20-year career as a Captain with the Flagstaff Fire Department.
His life was blessed by the birth of his son, Dwight, and daughter, Perrie, 9 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
His is survived by a large family that is grateful for and blessed by his lifetime of love, care and devotion.
He will be remembered as a devoted, loving husband, father and "Papa" who enabled his children and grandchildren to carry-on blessed lives that were guided by his example of a life lived in contentment and an easy-going attitude.
