John Joseph Cooper, 83, passed away on December 20, 2022. He was the widower of Marilyn Cooper. They shared 27 years of marriage together.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Elizabeth and John Cooper. He attended Pershing High school in Detroit. He was employed at Ford Motor Company and worked as a tinsmith/ sheet metal worker. He was also a member of St. Edmunds/St. Faustina. He enjoyed watching all Michigan sports teams. He will be remembered for his gift of gab, strong opinions, supporting the union, his love for a good party and being around people, his love for rock n roll music, dancing, boating, and bowling.
He is survived by his loving children; John (Amelia) Cooper, Linda (Anthony) Mannino, Renee Cooper, and Jennifer Cooper.
A visitation for John will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, Michigan 48088. A scripture service and sharing of memories will occur Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 7:00 PM, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, Michigan 48088. An instate will occur Friday, December 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 Twelve Road, Warren, Michigan 48088. A funeral mass will occur Friday, December 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 Twelve Road, Warren, Michigan 48088.
