John David Cox, 36 of Fort Worth went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2023.
John was born to David Cox and Laurie Villegas on September 15, 1986. From the get-go John was a people person, never met a stranger and he always saw the good in others. He wore a big smile and had a giving heart. The kindness and respect he showed everyone is how we hope JD is remembered. John was a family person who loved his mother, children and brothers with all his heart. He enjoyed camping and anything that involved the outdoors. He was always so happy to cook for those he loved because he knew it couldn’t get any better. John loved connection, he made an effort to be there and help in any way that he could. He will be greatly missed and will forever remain in the family and friends hearts but his family is at peace knowing he is finally resting.
John was preceded in death by his father David Cox, his grandparents Bartie and Charlsie Cox and his ex-wife Meagan Carter Cox.
Those left to honor and celebrate his life are his children Ayden, Emily, Amelia and Maci Cox; his mother Laurie Villegas and step father Kevin Voight; his brothers Kevin Cox and Christopher Voight; his grandparents Stanley and Estella Villegas; his niece and nephews Leah, Wyatt, and Eli Cox.
