John F. Creedon

John Flynn Creedon "Jack" of Marco Island, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25th, 2025. Jack and his iconic Jack's Lookout, which he operated for most of the past 40 years on Marco Island, were part of the island's heartbeat. He was known for his contagious humor and his hospitality that brought so many people together.

Jack lived a vibrant life and operated one of Marco's favorite bars into his 80s. He was born in Brockton and grew up in Onset, Mass. He met his beautiful wife, Joanne, on Onset Beach, married her in 1956, and they raised their three children amidst the beauty of Cape Cod. Growing up with Jack was always entertaining, as he would bring home various pets, including dogs, horses, chickens, and even an alligator. Jack and Joanne moved their family to Southwest Florida in 1976, where they soon fell in love with Marco Island and its community. Jack, with his entrepreneurial spirit, first opened a produce market in Old Marco called "Jack's Gone Bananas", before acquiring the bar at the Marco River Marina and re-naming it "Jack's Lookout".

Jack loved great New England seafood. He loved golf, Patriots, Red Sox, and the Florida Gators (all particularly when money was at stake!). Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends-particularly at our beloved "Jack's", where every day he generously offered "free beer tomorrow".

He leaves behind family and friends who will forever treasure his stories, his laughter, and his good nature. Though we will miss him dearly, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on every time we laugh. Our family would like to thank his many friends and the fantastic crew at Jack's for so many years of joy.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Joanne; his son, Dennis; his daughter, Erin Good (Carson); his son, Keith; his five grandchildren: John Good (Megan), Michael Good, Kaitlin Creedon, Alexandra "Lexi" Good, and Jack Creedon; and great-grandson, Shepherd Good.
