John T. Curran

Age 92, of Castle Shannon, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Beloved husband of Susan D. (Sweeney). Dear father of Kevin (Lisa), Sean (Trish) and Tim (Cel) Curran. Loving grandfather of Meghan (Adam), Matthew, Neil (Steven), Fiona, John and Michael. Loving great grandfather of Addison and Reagan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Marie (O’Rourke) Curran and his brother Neil. John was an Army Veteran and a longtime member of St. Winifred Church where he was an usher for many years and a volunteer for the Food Bank. He retired from US Steel as a metallurgist. John enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling, playing cards, and reading. Family and friends are welcome 2- 8 PM Tuesday, October 28, 2025, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800) Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in St. Anne Church, St. Paul of the Cross Parish.
