Alice K. (Stolar) Abbott
Age 95, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Abbott. Dear mother of Robert (Stacey) Abbott, Dino (Julia) Abbott, Belinda (Dave) Waters, and Melissa Abbott. Loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one on the way. Sister of Catherine Di Gregory, Marion Jurczyk, and Thomas Stolar. Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Jessie Stolar and 9 brothers and sisters. Alice was a member of Catholic War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary and Catholic Daughters of America. She was very active with Sharing and Caring for Veterans, an organization that helps injured and disabled veterans. Alice volunteered over 60 years with numerous veteran associations. Family and friends are welcome Friday, January 30, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220 (412-563-2800) Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday, January 31, 2026, in SS Simon & Jude Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. www.slaterfuneral.com
