John F. Cusack Jr.

John Francis Cusack Jr., of Sewell, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on February 6, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, John lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

A proud graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School in 1966, John went on to serve honorably in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971, achieving the rank of Sergeant. His time in the military instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and commitment that he carried throughout his life.

Following his service, John embarked on a long and successful career as an auditor with Bell Telephone-later Verizon-where he worked diligently for three decades before retiring in 2003. Never one to rest on his laurels, John continued to pursue personal growth and earned his degree from Cabrini College in 1999.

John's greatest pride was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Karen; daughter Kelly Lezynski and her husband Mike; son Shaun Cusack and his wife Kate; and daughter Kristen Dymond and her husband DJ. He was a devoted grandfather to Aidan, Patrick, Emerson, Liam, Reese, Rory, Jackson, Sullivan, and Charleston. His siblings-brother Tom Cusack; sister Lori A'Hearn; brother Larry Cusack; sister Lyn-Marie Lehmann; and many nieces and nephews-also mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Cusack Sr. and Dolores Granahan.

Outside of work and family life, John found joy on the golf course and ski slopes. He also cherished time spent at an Irish pub-places where laughter flowed freely and stories were shared among friends.

John's legacy is one of steadfast devotion-to country through military service, to career through decades of hard work, and most importantly to family through unwavering love and support. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, August 1st from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home-(Washington Township Location), 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Interment to follow at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Williamstown, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to CureCadasil- curecadasil.org.
