Modesto, California - John Dahlgren passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and a man who found his greatest joy in being surrounded by the people he loved most. He is survived by his daughter Victoria Bragg (Lawrence Bragg), son Stephen Dahlgren (Tammy), and his son John Dahlgren (Joanna).
John had a deep love for his family, and that love guided his life. In the mid-1970s, he moved his family to Modesto, where he built a life rooted in togetherness, stability, and care. He cherished simple pleasures and meaningful traditions, especially the time he spent with his beloved wife, Margaret. One of his favorite rituals was their Friday night movie date nights, a tradition that reflected both his love of movies and his devotion to her.
John also loved the open road. He especially enjoyed road trips to Oregon, visits up to Pinecrest, and time spent by the beach in Monterey-places that brought him peace, joy, and lasting memories with his family.
Above all else, John treasured time with his wife, family, and grandchildren. Whether traveling, watching a movie, or simply being together, those moments meant everything to him and defined the life he lived.
John will be remembered for his love, his quiet dedication to family, and the warmth he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
