John A. Daigle

John A. Daigle, resident of Lakeview for 57 years and survivor of Hurricane Katrina, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, age 88. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Vera Weaver Daigle of 68 years by only 90 days. Loving father of Karen Daigle Walker, Jeanne Daigle Antoine and Tracy Daigle Kennedy and husband Patrick. Grandfather of Kristen Guidry Unkauf, Rick Guidry, April Antoine, Lawrence L. Antoine Jr., Patrick John Kennedy and Jodi Kennedy. Great Grandfather of Marshal and Katherine Unkauf. Son of the late Andrew J. and Marie Montelepre Daigle. Brother of Rosemae Daigle Orgeron. Parran of Rocky Orgeron. Also survived by his brother-in-law, Steven Weaver and his wife Helen and their family; and his good friend Jimmy Foster. Mr. Daigle served in Neuremberg Germany during World War II. He was a Barber by trade and a perfectionist in the crafting of fine furniture.
